What is data exchange?

Data exchange is the term used by Data Republic to describe the authorized transmission of organizational data between agreed parties.

You may be wondering, ‘is data exchange the same thing as data sharing?’ The principle is the same, however, we prefer to use the term exchange as it denotes the enforcement of specific legal, financial, and security parameters to the act of sharing data which our Senate platform and infrastructure enable.

Broadly speaking, data exchange enables organizations to securely transmit, combine and analyze differing Datasets (often external) in order to enable better understanding and decision-making around an organizational audience or problem.
